Training and nutrition calculators

Four free calculators, no sign-up and no ads. They use exactly the same formulas as the Forge app, so the numbers you see here are the numbers you'll see inside.

One-rep max calculator

Your estimated 1RM from a normal working set, plus the 60-100 % percentage table for programming.

Calorie calculator

Your basal metabolic rate (BMR) and total daily expenditure (TDEE) with Mifflin-St Jeor, plus targets for any rate of change.

Macro calculator

Protein, carbs and fat in grams for your goal, worked out from your real expenditure instead of generic percentages.

Plate calculator

Which plates to load on each side of the bar to hit an exact weight, using only the plates your gym actually has.

Why these four

These are the numbers you actually make decisions with. Your 1RM sets the intensity of your sets; calories decide whether you gain or lose weight; macros decide how much of that change is muscle and how much is fat. The plate one is the most practical of the four: it answers, standing in front of the rack, what to put on each side to hit today's number.

The same formulas as the app

These aren't generic calculators โ€” they replicate what Forge actually computes, so you won't get one number here and a different one inside the app.

Nothing is sent to a server. Every calculation runs in your browser. The values you enter are stored only on your device so you don't have to retype them when you switch calculators.

What a calculator can't do

Giving you a number is the easy part. The hard part is everything after: recalculating it when your weight changes, hitting it day after day, and knowing whether what you're doing is working. That's exactly what Forge does โ€” it logs your sets, tracks your macros, estimates your maxes from every session and adjusts your targets from your real progress.

Train, eat and progress in one app

Routines, set logging, calories, macros and measured progress. Free from day one.
